We are inspired by the vibrant, fresh produce of Northern California, combined with the flavor of traditional French dishes. The restaurant is conveniently located at 43 Sutter Street, between Montgomery and Sansome. The Per Diem construct is a tribute to the era that seeded California’s dramatic population and economic boom. The 1849 Gold Rush flooded San Francisco with new inhabitants seeking new fortunes and transformed what is today’s Financial District into the lively, bustling streets that are now. Per Diem’s floor-to-ceiling dark woods, exposed concrete, steel beams, wood-wrapped marble bar, large pillars, and a historic alluding chandelier encased in an oversized glass lantern are among the restaurant’s striking features, all of which illuminate a traditional, cozy atmosphere.
The 2,100 square feet venue houses two stories including two bar areas, a private dining space, and is ideal for large parties or an intimate dinner for two. Per Diem is located only a few short blocks to the Ritz Carlton Residences, St. Regis, and Four Seasons Hotel; the dapper outfitted restaurant will entice the Financial District workforces and business travelers alike.
